Even if you located the study I am not sure that it would do you much good. If it exists it is at least 20 years out of date. You would need to understand the author's methodology, assumptions and the purpose of the study to see if they had any particular "axe to grind". If you need this type of information set up your own study or hire a consultant to perform one.

over the past 20+ years many people have tried to find this "study" and were not successful. if you search the listserv's archives you find many postings about it
personally I wouldn't even bother citing it. Just about every RM vendor (large and small) has used it over the years, but I don't know of anyone who has ever actually seen or held it in their hands.
