Interesting thought, but maybe that's a part of what's going on here and why
it hasn't been updated.  When this LinkedIn page was established, he wasn't
"keeper of records in the USA", he was the Director of a collection of the
NY Public Library. 

What may be more to the point is he doesn't feel it's appropriate as "keeper
of records in the USA" that he maintain a LinkedIn page ??  He probably
hasn't thought to go back and delete this old nearly unused page.  He has 58
connections there, but no content other than the title and location of his
last position.
