A group of authors and myself are outlining the relationship between Document Control and Records Management in an article for ARMA's IM. We are drawing upon professional experiences and best practices/literature. It is scheduled to be published in two parts later this year.
This is the only effort I know of that is sponsored by ARMA at this time.
