About the Presenter:  Stephen E. Haller became Senior Director, Collections
& Library for the Indiana Historical Society in 2004, after serving as
Director of Archives & Records for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for
eight years and Montgomery County (Ohio) Archivist Records Manager for
sixteen years. He is a Certified Records Manager with over thirty years of
archives and records management service in educational, public, and
non-profit organizations. After serving in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War,
Steve received his BA (Phi Beta Kappa) and MA from Miami University (Ohio)
and began his career as an archivist for the Ohio Historical Society.  Steve
is a past ARMA region vice president and served as chapter president for the
Dayton, OH and Tidewater, VA chapters.

Steve has authored/co-authored a number of historical and technical
publications, including an article "What is a Hoosier" in Traces (Fall
2008), Requirements for Managing Electronic Messages as Records (ANSI
Standard, 2004), William Washington: Cavalryman of the Revolution (2001 &
2007), and Managing Records on Limited Resources (1991).  He was project
coordinator for Colonial Williamsburg's commemorative booklet, Colonial
Williamsburg-The First 75 Years (2001) and coordinated the "Treasurers of
Collections" Exhibit for the 175th anniversary of IHS (2005) and now the
immersive technology "Destination Indiana" component of the Indiana
Experience at IHS. He has held positions in professional associations in
Ohio and Virginia, been a frequent presenter at conferences and college
classes, and was an instructor on records management for the Ohio Supreme
Court's Judicial College.
