Hi All,
The next training workshop offered by the Records Management Office is schedule for Thursday, May 13th - 10 a.m. - Noon. Records Management II is a more detailed exploration of the Virginia Public Records Law and how to know what to keep and what to destroy/delete. We will look at the approval process for destroying records, as well as specific retentions - so if you have some types of records you want to know how long to keep, please bring a list with you.
Class will meet in the South Meeting Room of Newcomb Hall. Registration is requested, but not required - there are currently 26 people registered - so please register if you can (if you get a wait list notice please come to the class). We can take up to 40 in the room.
As always, we will have snacks, drinks, and a door prize for one lucky attendee. Please plan to arrive with enough time to sign-in, get the handouts and snacks, register for the door prize, and find a seat - We will begin right at 10 a.m.
For additional information on this class and others, please visit www.virginia.edu/recordsmanagement<http://www.virginia.edu/recordsmanagement> - links in the top right of the screen.
