Organization/Department
Information & Records Management/Policy & Operational Compliance

Responsibilities
Provide solutions to information needs in the management of records, regardless of format or content. Establishes
requirements for records and analyzes records for compliance with requirements. Establishes and provides basic
information skills training or instruction to customers. Initiates, creates and presents implementation plans for
compliance-based issues, reports, technical documents, proposals, and procedures. Manages information projects of a
complex nature. Develops priorities and oversees budget for area or project. Takes leading roles in teams. Serves as an
expert in establishing records retention requirements for company records, including electronic records. Develops or
oversees the design of information access and retrieval systems and programs and/or the resolution of problems that require
a state-of-the-art awareness of the methodology, technology, terminology, and literature in the field of information
management. Develops needs assessments; interfaces with all levels of management and staff. Defines measures of
performance; monitors and ensures the quality of information products and services utilizing established standards and
customer feedback.

Requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, Information Systems Management, or Information
Systems, or related information field plus 5-6 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree in an information field plus at
least 4 years of progressive experience is preferred. Requires specialized technical knowledge or extensive management
experience. Note - 12 years of relevant education, experience, and training will be reviewed and considered for equivalency
to these requirements.
Requires a significant level of computer literacy in electronic file management and applications with the ability to apply
technology to the solution of information management problems and the records scheduling process. Good human relations
and communication skills are essential. Must be able to function effectively in a team environment. Requires demonstrated
negotiation skills and conflict management to establish processes.
Position requires a Q clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of current clearance status.
The job level will be determined based upon relevant education and experience of the selected candidate.
