The web site www.ptotoday.com has a sample retention schedule, but it's very
brief - basically follows IRS rules for selected records.
For what it's worth, in NYC, the latest regulations for Parent Associations
and Parent Teacher Associations for public schools (not PTOs) recently took
a stab at describing retention requirements - primarily focuses on 6 years
for financial records.
