I agree that consulting fees for CA/MDY are very expensive so I don't
think a change to Autonomy is going to be significant in terms of fees.
I do think that if you are already an Autonomy client and a CA client
there might be possibilities for fee negotiation that were not present
before. I do have to disagree about CA Support or really MDY's customer
support, because it's the same people that continually move with the
software. They have been excellent, from our assigned trainer, Karen,.
to the Support staff, Tony especially, and our project manager Peter. I
have been working with software since the main frame records systems and
this support group have been the best one I've worked with in the last
35 years.

Have you worked with CA on a consultative basis?  Their pricing is
outrageous. My invoices tell a very different story  people may beg to
differn but I do not find the product or customer support very good. 

I welcome the change.

This is not good news. Autonomy is extremely expensive and the next time
that you have to buy a license or anything for CARM you can expect to
pay between 2-3 times what you are currently paying. My 2 cents!
