Hi Everyone
I am in the process of devising a scanning procedure for staff to scan letters, reports and documents when they arrive into their service area, once scanned they will be uploaded onto our electronic record system.
My procedure has been circulated to all staff but the comments I have received is that 'it is too lengthy', will not work etc etc. As we will be destroying the original paper copy I have devised my procedure around the BS 0008 Evidential Weight and Legal Admissibility and as we will be scanning current documents as opposed to archive records, I had proposed a batch header sheet would need to be completed for each document to confirm that it was a true image of the original (again received a lot of comments regarding this not being practical).
I am seeking guidance on what other areas have done, do you complete a batch header sheet for each document or do you carry out a random audit?
Thank you all in anticipation,
Regards
Gaye
