Greeting from Wonderful Wyoming,

As my agencies move more toward voice mail and texting to conduct their agency's business, do any of my esteemed colleagues know of a product or service that we can leverage to capture these business records? I am hearing from my agencies that staff are using their personal cell phones as well as agency issued phones. Some agencies, to save costs, are considering encouraging employees to use personal phones and the agency reimbursing the employee a portion of their cell phone costs. I have warned them that doing that will expose the person using a personal phone to possibly having the phone records becoming part of a discovery request. We are state government and, as such, personal cell phones records could become part of a public records request. We are rapidly moving towards texting as a business process.

Regards,
