RECORDS MANAGER - Washington, DC Law Firm
Our client, a large Washington, DC Law Firm, is seeking a seasoned
Records Manager for their Records Department.
Position Description:
-Responsible for the effective and appropriate management of the Firm's
records.
-Advising on records management issues, as well as undertaking practical
and strategic activities.
-Plans, develops, and administers records management policies designed
to facilitate effective and efficient handling of records and other
information.
-Plans the development and implementation of records management policies
intended to standardize filing, protecting, and retrieving records,
reports, and other information contained on paper, microfilm, computer
programs, and other media.
-Evaluates staff reports utilizing knowledge of principles of records
and information management.
-Confers with other administrators to assure compliance with policies,
procedures, and practices.
-Storing, arranging, indexing and classifying records.
-Facilitating the development of filing systems, and maintaining these
to meet administrative, legal, and financial requirements; devising and
ensuring the implementation of retention and disposal schedules.
