Please join the Greater Los Angeles chapter at their October meeting:

"Social Media's Effect on RIM"

Helen Streck is a partner in Kaizen InfoSource LLC. Helen's expertise in
records and
information management has its foundation in real world experiences
forged from a career
in the business that spans over 25 years. Streck is active in ARMA
International, where she
is currently serving as the Pacific Region Manager. She has served as a
Trustee on the
board of the ARMA International Educational Foundation and as a past
ARMA International board member. She has
also developed and delivered several courses on business strategies,
including ARMA's Generally
Accepted Recordkeeping Principles (GARP), and Records and Information
Management Programs.

Helen's presentation, "The Impact of Social Networks on Records and
Information Management", will report the results of her research project
funded by the ARMA International Educational Foundation. She will
address the impacts of
social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter on information
management professionals, both professionally and personally, and
include a discussion of how gender diversity plays a role. Her
presentation will present a perspective founded on more than nine months
of
research on this topic.

(NOTE: This is an opportunity to see Helen's research results prior to
her official presentation of the report at November's ARMA conference in
San Francisco.)
