Retiring Republican Gov. Jim Douglas has reached an agreement to keep
some of his official records under seal for six years, Democratic
Secretary of State Deb Markowitz said Monday.

Douglas is set to leave the Governor's Office on Thursday. His staff
is in the process of boxing up the records of the chief executive,
which cover his eight years in office, and shipping them to the
Secretary of State's Office.
