"On Thursday I took Part 6 of the CRM and I'm still dusting myself off from the experience. Like quite a few of the CRM candidates I've talked to, I came away feeling that I'd fallen far short of what was needed; then again, it's too soon to tell right now and I'm resolved not to worry about it until the evaluation comes out. In any case, I'm sure I'll either be back for advice on how to plan a new study strategy for the next attempt (i.e. I did not seek out a Mentor this round and now wished that I had.) or I'll be seeking strategies for how to plan continuing post-CRM education credits. Either way - thanks for being here!"

This is a good reminder that one of the best ways to practice and familiarize yourself with Part 6 of the CRM is to take one of the CRM Prep Seminars that give you an opportunity to experience the exam, just the way it is given at Pearson Vue. This experience gives candidates not only the knowledge of HOW the exam will be presented, but also the timing factors and just what the graders are looking for. This makes the candidate more comfortable and self-confident which leads to their success. There is really nothing to study for Part Six, that is all covered in the five subject matter tests they have to pass before they can take the case studies. Part Six is all about writing: concisely, to the point and to the correct audience identified in the case study.

There are a number of CRM Prep Seminars being held this spring, before the next exam in May. It is not too late to register for the OCARMA one in Irvine, CA; the one in Boise, ID, or the one in Atlanta, GA. Check upcoming conferences on the ICRM.org website for contact information, and if there is not one near you, ask your local chapter to contact the ICRM about putting one on. The ICRM WANTS you to pass, and these seminars and the mentor program have been designed to help you do just that. Become a CRM!
