Thanks Larry for the response and very good points.  We're struggling with some of the same issues as Barbara and it's proved to be very painful trying to manage CAD files in Documentum using a 3rd party software.  We decided to go another direction and are now removing all the "control" functions that it required.  Don't think I want to go down that road again.
