Since I am located in the IT Division, I am already working in a partnership. However, my answer would be that RIM concepts and rules must be applied consistently in order for the RIM program to be considered valid, especially in a legal or compliance situation. Therefore, the rules we set for paper or other hard media (like retention schedules, file naming conventions, files plans, disposition, etc.) must also be consistently and accurately applied to electronic records and information.
