Greetings RECMGT-L Community,
My name is Scott Thompson ans I'm a new subscriber.
I am new to the Records Management community having recently joined the
National Archives and Records Administration in the Customer Relationship
Management Branch of Agency Services.
My role is to manage, monitor and coordinate support for federal agency
accounts with the Federal Records Centers Program, as well as serve as an
agency liasion to all operating units of NARA.
I'm based in CA, but operate nationally in support of my assigned agencies.
One of the reasons I joined this group is in support of our hiring initiatives.
We'll be hiring additional Sr. Records Analysts (Archives Specialists) to support
the growing list of Records Management Projects we're being tasked with.
Projects we're taking on include, Records Inventories, Record Schedule
Updates as well as writing Big Bucket Schedules, assistance in Electronic
Records Managements and many other long term projects.
The requisitions are currently being generated and are due out shortly.
My question is, besides this community, could you recommend other areas
where I'll find Records Management Professionals that would have an interest
in learning about career opportunities at the National Archives and Records
Administration.
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Scott Thompson

Nobody knows Federal records better than NARA's Federal Records Centers
Program. Since 1950, we have safeguarded the nation's records, including
citizen tax returns, Official Military Personnel Folders, passport applications,
and Top Secret military records. Every day, NARA's Federal Records Centers
deliver on the agency's mission to provide ready access to essential evidence.
