I have done some preliminary scouting. Overpriced, bad service and average food seem to come up a lot in on-line reviews for National Harbor restuarants. I know of a good choice for food but there is no common area for mingling.
Rosa Mexicana gets rave reviews. Ketchup gets okay reviews. I will visit both places this Saturday to take a look around.
There is also a dueling piano bar that is supposed to be a lot of fun, but would not allow for a lot of socializing.
My experience with Gaylord Facilities has been that they are very good but expensive.
I will report back next week.
