Data Storage Science, a government contractor, has an immediate job 
opening in Rosslyn VA for a Senior Records Manager.  The position's  
description and requirements are as follows: 

Sr. Records Manger
7+ year’s experience

Job Description:
Provides records management expertise in the execution and support of our 
clients’ operational functions; including maintaining records schedules, 
development of policy, process and procedures. Works with the DSS team to 
support each branch, develop documentation and deliverables, and coordinate 
meetings with client staff. Assists with the establishment of a vital record 
program, DR/COOP initiatives and other records management activities as 
needed. The ideal candidate is organized, a forward thinker, leads by example 
and execution. She/he will interface with the client from time to time and must 
be sound and confident in records management principles, practices and laws.

Responsibilities:
May serve as backup to manager as needed
This is a hands on and leadership role
Supporting the Records SME as needed
Overseeing assigned project activities
Status reporting
Developing presentations
Training support
Records Schedule activities

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Minimum 7 years experience in Federal records management. 
Knowledge of ECM/EDM methodologies and technologies preferred.
Ability to work effectively and lead project teams in an atmosphere of multiple 
projects and shifting priorities. 
Project Management skills and the use of MS Project.
Strong interpersonal skills required to work effectively with people at all levels 
in the firm.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must project a professional demeanor, effectively represent the firm, and the 
Records Management organization, exhibit sound judgment, and maintain 
confidentiality.
Must show initiative and be willing to take ownership of projects. 
Possess superior attention to detail, proofreading skills, and problem solving 
capabilities, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must.   
The ability to write well, present well and express organized and well 
structured thoughts.
Must be able to pass agency background check.
