Count on me as a dinosaur as well. To your point I see this at
meetings all of the time - attendees are on their smartphone during a
presentation either reading messages, texting or playing games. I
heard of a couple of companies that have banned all cell/smart phones
and PCs during meetings. Maybe we should apply this same protocol to
other meetings. If attendees don't like it show them the door.
Somewhat related - I have to laugh whenever I see a couple sitting
across to each other in a restaurant and glued to their iPhone or
Android texting to friends or possibly each other. The only time they
look at each other is when they take a bite of their food. Otherwise
their eyes are glued to the cell phone screen. Becoming more of an
occurrence - guess a sign of our times...
