Carol, I have a couple of questions.



First, how do you propose dealing with the occasional conflicts between "records" and ESI? I can see setting up a "system of record", but then you hit the ESI wall ....



Second, it seems to me that allowing any type of system to be a "system of record" is essentially a contradiction in terms:  after all, if the "system of record" allows for records to be edited and/or deleted, that's hard to reconcile with the notion of a "system of record" which implies fixity.
