Actually if you read the initial post you'd see the Donna said:
"Our board members want an easy-to-use
application and most of them want to use their own iPad."
So all that Glen said was:
"Whatever you do my advice is to make sure they have encrypted I-pads."
Which was obviously advice to use encryption IF they were using Ipads.
Sounds plenty reasonable (and clear) to me!
