EXCLUSIVE: eLessons Learned’s Exclusive Interview with Ms. Laura Zubulake
*Q:* Before we begin with our discussion concerning your book, I’d like to
know what inspired you to break your silence in the years following the
filing of your lawsuit, the jury verdict, and the post-verdict settlement? *
A*: I wrote my book for several reasons. First, I recognized the import
my case had on the law. E-discovery and information governance have become
significant challenges, not only for the legal community, but also for
corporate management. Second, I believed a book written from a plaintiff’s
perspective, particularly given as involved as I was, would be of value to
lawyers, senior management, and students alike. Third, although much of
the legal literature written about my case is accurate, there are some
misperceptions that I felt needed clarification.
