Good points all. And I'd echo in particular your point about networking.
I'm a "tribe" attendee these days - there is the occasional session that is
really valuable but since I'm not a RM practitioner at the moment....
One of the things I have suggested both for past ARMA conferences and
others I attend/participate in/am affiliated with is the idea of an
"unconference" - very little structure, topics determined on the fly,
strong emphasis on storytelling and sharing, with close-order questioning
that you just can't get in a room of 200+. And lots of time between and
during for that kind of networking and sharing that is so valuable. Wish I
could crack the code as to how to get that on an agenda.
