Yakima Herald Republic | Former Selah supervisor expected to plead guilty
in records case
Sweet was charged with stealing and destroying public documents. According
to court records, Sweet had his city-owned computer “cleaned up” on Jan.
31, 2012, his last day of work after being terminated when Mayor John
Gawlik took office.
Court records allege that Sweet instructed a technician to remove anything
containing his name from the computer’s hard drive. The technician,
however, made a backup copy of the computer’s records, according to court
documents.
