Poudre School District on Thursday said its open records policy complies
with Colorado law but "sometimes employees do not follow" policies set out
by the administration.

In 2010, a top administrator told employees to destroy emails sought by the
family of a special needs child. A records request by the family recently
made public emails that PSD has since called "unprofessional."
The court case surrounding the district's deletion of emails prompted
questions about how open PSD is being with student records and email
communication.
