Forget the money they save, they poison the landfills. Is that not a $billion dollar clean up.  Every town dump is now a Superfund site waiting to be discovered.  It is not how people “should” dispose of them that matters; but what is the reality. In the hefty bag they go!   The Mercury we fought some many years to remove from drinking water is now being returned to the environment.  As I previously posted, just having 10 of the large bulbs in your closet will invite a visit from the EPA and then the haz mat teams to remove them and then a hefty fine.  ($45,000 fine in Maryland)  What will be next Uranium Bulbs?  Whenever the Sierra Club and the Global Warming crowd meet next, someone bring this up.

Can’t anybody in DC think long term…….?  And think it through.  I just came from a community wide meeting where we in little Kutztown now have to worry about drugs. In the middle of farm country??  Heroine is off and running. I passed an Amish Wagon on the way there and an ambulance on the way back.  such symbolism.

We have already had several deaths in the area. Heroine is such a heavy duty drug.  Now the dealers lace the Marijauna with heroine so the gateway opens to addiction in one smoke. It affects them in a way they never expected. The government started looking the other way on this marijauna drug;  and then allowed it to be sold legally,  and now grown as a crop. So the kids think it is no worse than cigarettes. 

To sit in a task force meeting and every idea we have; they tell us has been tried and failed. When small town America is corrupt then it might be over.  We will now start drug education in pre-school.  Parents giving ADD drugs is now the first dealer for many kids.  Kids learn drugs are the solution.

The Shakers had it right all along………..  Hard work and abstention is the path.  If anyone has worked on a group that has made progress on keeping kids away from drugs, please email me offline.
