It’s time to start our ‘digital diet’ | The National Archives blog
a joint survey carried out by Forrester and IRMS revealed that there is
still a lack of knowledge about the volume of digital information. Many of
the sessions picked up on the fact that keeping too much information
impacts on our business efficiency, increases costs and impairs our ability
to comply with legislation.

Christopher Wilcock, PricewaterhouseCoopers, stressed that e-discovery is a
very expensive process, particularly when large quantities of poorly
managed information are held. He argued that good information governance
and getting rid of information that you no longer need can help your
business run better and reduce the cost burden of e-discovery.
