For the people of Licking County, those small details once lay neglected in
floor-to-ceiling piles in the back rooms of old buildings, covered in
decades-deep layers of dust and soot, written on pages that time was slowly
destroying.

Then Katy Klettlinger came along.

Klettlinger recently announced her resignation as Licking County’s records
manager, accepting a new job as library consultant for the state library of
Ohio. She leaves behind a legacy that will benefit the citizens of Licking
County for generations.
