Peanuts was my childhood cartoon and Snoopy was my favorite character...Life was good and everything was through "rose colored" lens...
However, as I grew older, I loved Bloom County and the sarcastic penguin, Opus...Still funny, but with a more realistic view of the world and society.
Have a FANTASTIC 4th of July!!! Much thanks for the men & women in uniform who safeguard our countries and the liberties we enjoy.

Subject: Re: Friday Pondering for those still working
Cartoons have probably been the single most influential medium in my life (which may explain a lot). Here are the ones that were most important to
me:
- Rocky & Bullwinkle (including Dudley Do-Right, Peabody & Sherman, Fractured Fairy Tales)
- Warner Brothers cast of cartoon characters (Bugs Bunny, Sylvester & Tweety, Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, etc.)
- Animaniacs (particularly Pinky & the Brain and Chicken Boo)
- Felix the Cat
- Mighty Mouse
- Popeye (oh, did I have a crush on him when I was a 4-year-old!)
I watched many others, including all the Hanna Barbara ones (Flintstones, Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Quickdraw McGraw, etc.), but felt they fell far behind.
Happy 4th!
