In Gold Country in California,  we have something called the Hangtown Fry, which is scrambled eggs with oysters and a few other things mixed together.   In the gold rush days fresh oysters and eggs were some of the most expensive things on the menu so a great way for a panner to celebrate finding the Motherloade.

Hangtown,  now known as Placerville and right off Highway 50, was famous for just that,  hangings and supposedly is still haunted in certain parts.

Happy Friday everyone -ilona

Anything special in the area you live, example Montreal has poutine, Louisiana has Gumbo, and Texas has "the best BBQ in the world".  What is special in your neck of the woods?
