Watertown Daily Times | North country county clerks’ offices move to
digitize records

Space is at a premium in north country county clerks’ offices, where
stories of the counties and their people can be traced through deeds,
judgments, discharge papers, mortgages and naturalizations, to name a few
of the many documents kept there.

“When you think about all the documents we have here, it affects every
person at some point in your life,” said Gizelle J. Meeks, the Jefferson
County clerk.
