 The Society of American Archivists published * Archival and Special
Collections Facilities: Guidelines for Archivists, Librarians, Architects
and Engineers *in 2009*.*  Since then the SAA Standards Committee’s
Technical Subcommittee on Archival Facilities Guidelines (TS-AFG) has
continued to review the facility guidelines, assess their application,
evaluate new research, and solicit comments and reviews.

The subcommittee will host an open meeting at the SAA Conference in
Washington, DC for colleagues who would like to learn more about the
facility guidelines and offer comments and suggestions. The open meeting is
on Wednesday, August 13 from 10:00 to Noon in Room Virginia A in the
Marriot Wardman Park Hotel.

While the revisions are still in development, an early draft of the
proposed revised guidelines is available for review at
