today your alerting system needs to provide much more than just
prioritization of alerts. It needs to transform information into
intelligence and then take that intelligence and present it as an
actionable event. It really needs to be smarter than an alert collection
system. What you need is a detective. A system that can inspect various
pieces of a puzzle, observe them in context and together form a picture of
what is really going on. One that can produce actionable events resulting
from an attack.
