It has varied, depending on where I was working.
1. My first job:
a. Active records program
i. microfilming (I know, showing my age) operation
ii. photocopier management
iii. filing cabinet approving
b. Training and consulting
i. Filing practices
ii. Applying retention schedules
c. Records disposition program
i. retention schedules
ii. shredding and recycling program
iii. records center, and
iv. archives
2. My second job
a. Active records
i. Centralized files
b. Training and consulting
i. Filing practices
ii. Applying retention schedules
c. Records disposition program
i. establishing retention schedules, and
ii. archives
I could go on and on (and on) as I have had many different jobs.
Most have had:
* a records disposition component
* training and consulting component
* vital records and disaster planning
* one had a mail management and correspondence control component
Probably could identify more, but I have to get back to work!
Is this what you meant, Glen?
Happy Friday!

Discussion with a fellow listservee friend and mentor spawned this question. What are attributes of a mature records program?
