Every Three Minutes, a Worker’s Personal Device Is Remotely Wiped - Digits - WSJ Research firm Gartner predicted last year that by 2017, half of all employers will stop providing mobile hardware to workers and will require workers to use their own devices for work. But, as The Wall Street Journal reported <http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304027204579335033824665964> earlier this year, the trend comes with a troubling consequence: employers can remotely erase data off those devices, and they are not required to make a distinction between personal and professional information. Workers at a variety of companies report losing their lists of contacts and photos of deceased relatives and pets. http://on.wsj.com/1ojYUc3 Source: http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2014/09/08/every-three-minutes-a-workers-personal-device-is-remotely-wiped/?mod=WSJ_WSJ_News_BlogsModule See if people are clicking on this link: http://on.wsj.com/1ojYUc3+ Try the bitly.com sidebar to see who is talking about a page on the web: https://bitly.com/pages/sidebar List archives at http://lists.ufl.edu/archives/recmgmt-l.html Contact [log in to unmask] for assistance To unsubscribe from this list, click the below link.
