It’s been awhile since I posted, but I need some feedback from the members
of this list.

Having recently been part of a corporate reorganization, I’d like to provide
some background on the RIM field and what it is that we do. I am looking for
3-5 articles that share what RIM is all about and why it remains important to
the organization. Basically I am looking for a crash course in Records
Management for Leadership teams. The good news is that they trust me to
do the right things, my intent is to make certain they know what that is.

I will include the basic Principles from ARMA so while a good start, it isn’t quite
what I am looking for from this group. I would specifically like to identify an
article on retention schedule development and one on destruction benefits,
one on managing electronic records, plus anyo ther subjects that this group
think are key for leadership to understand the basic concepts. Because this is
for leadership and background, I prefer articles over books, I can always go
there if they would like more in-depth knowledge.

So has anyone got a tight group of articles they use to provide education and
awareness to leadership? Are there any articles that come to mind as must
reads? Please don’t point me to web sites that have lots of records
management information, I know where plenty of those are – What I need help
with is identifying articles that you think tell our story best. I am also not
looking for a sales pitch on RIM products - please don't send me that info
either, I need just basic unbaised information.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Steve Webber
