Overview:

Explore a career with Special Counsel, the world's leading provider for legal, eDiscovery and Information Governance placement services.  This position is responsible for managing the Information Governance branch and candidates will only be considered if they reside in the NYC metro area.

The Special Counsel Executive Director job is responsible for leading a successful operation making it a priority to develop staff members to exceed client expectations. The Executive Director utilizes market knowledge to develop business opportunities while increasing revenue streams.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Director job responsibilities include:
*         Forecasting and meeting revenue goals and objectives
*         Working with clients to ensure bills are paid on time
*         Preparing reports pertaining to branch performance, market trends, and market plans
*         Guiding the business development process, leading the public relations effort, and increasing market share by leading and overseeing advertising, marketing, networking, sales, servicing and recruiting efforts
*         Developing solutions to client-related issues to ensure client satisfaction, ultimately ensuring client retention
*         Overseeing all business processes and maintaining knowledge of Special Counsel's operations, systems, policies, procedures and guidelines
*         Identifying, recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, motivating, (and terminating, when necessary) branch personnel
*         Driving team performance by setting and reviewing performance metrics, conducting weekly staff and training meetings and periodic business review meetings
Requirements:
*         Bachelor's degree in related field
*         Must have a combination of at least two years of experience within the staffing industry, information governance industry or experience selling professional services to the information management community
*         Experience leading a professional team
*         Excellent leadership and management skills
*         Superior written and verbal communication skills
*         Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously efficiently and effectively
*         Must have working knowledge of labor and employment laws
*         Must have excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and motivational skills.
*         Intermediate level MS Office skills
*         Experience with managing a P&L and/or the ability to reach and understand financial statements
