Thanks Gary. From your response I gather that the certificates are
probably just for your own professional development and the CRM is the
professional standard.

Thanks for that Lisa. I did not mean to de-value certificates from
colleges and universities (although it certainly read that way, didn't
it?). I have one myself. Your effort to compare them to the CRM when
determining where to apply your time and money is a worthwhile activity. I
guess my message was that you cannot compare the concept of "certificates"
in general to the CRM, as different certificates' value will vary by
source institution and content. Once you pick a specific one that
interests you, you can then compare it head-to-head with the CRM. Then the
debate will be on...
