We celebrated banned books week at my work by having a banned book as our read of the quarter. Wednesday we had a guest from the Seattle Library system come in and give an very interesting talk on the Seattle library system and it's stance on the freedom to read.

I am thinking it would be interesting to have an archivist from either Washington State or NARA come in and give a talk about records and how we use historical information in our day-to-day lives. I could give that talk too, but it is often better received coming in fromt he outside.

Rock on!
