We are recruiting on behalf of a major oil and gas company in Houston for a Document Indexer. This is a full-time, contract position (40 hours per week).
The Document Indexer will review, quality control check, and release previously scanned and indexed oil and gas documents according to the standards established for each project. They will assign the correct document name, category and date. They will identify mis-files and know when to split and/or merge documents. They will operate a production scanner, including physical document separation, insertion of separator sheets, and reconstruction of physical records. A qualified candidate will have a strong knowledge of and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Excel. They will have data entry (35 words per minute plus) and document recognition skills. They will have oil and gas operational and technical documentation and indexing experience with well files. Ideally they will have experience with software such as Kofax Capture/Ascent Capture and Fujitsu TWAIN scanning drivers. They will be highly professional with great communication and peo
ple skills.
