I'm actually working on a home drive/shared drive storage policy.  If we ever decide to go down the path of Office365/OneDrive (or any other cloud based solution) for storage, I would want to keep those policies in place to help manage growth and reduce risk.  Just because you CAN have more storage doesn't mean you SHOULD allow it in every circumstance.
