Not sure about you but I thought the conference was very well attended this
year. I went to the closing day festivities and found a huge crowd at the
luncheon. This was my 1st ARMA and I was a bit surprised because everyone I
have talked to always mentions how low the attendance was in comparison to
years past. I agree that the choice of city should not be a key deciding
factor and of course the content should come first.

 Larry- you mentioned that there is nothing wrong with having a little fun
but a conference is not needed for that. The reality is, many people, me
included, like to bundle vacation in with attendance of this conference. Of
course I went to the conference for the content but it did not hurt that it
was in San Diego which is truly "fun" in all senses of the word.
