I took parts 1 - 5 as well, but this was back in the day when you could only sit for exams twice a year. 
Obviously as other have said we're all different, but had I to do it over I would take the same approach. I reviewed the ICRM study guide. I was also a part of a study group thru my work. I passed 4 of the 5 exams. Then I only had to study for the part I didn't pass.
