“CUNA Mutual Group: Winning Cobalt, Taming the Wild West”

ARMA International’s Cobalt Award was designed to recognize companies that
have shown excellence in Information governance. CUNA Mutual Group was
the 2012 recipient, and will share some of the steps they took to achieve this
prestigious honor.

Barb Bailey, CIP, ECMS, IOAP, is a RIM consultant for CUNA Mutual Group. She
will walk us through (via video conference) their successful approach to
applying information governance to unstructured data, share practical tactics
you can apply in your organization, and show you how to wrap your arms
around the “problem” and develop a roadmap to “fix” it.

About the Speaker: Barb is employed at CUNA Mutual Group and has almost 30
years of experience in the insurance industry. She leads CUNA Mutual’s RIM
office and is responsible for ensuring the appropriate management of corporate
information including enterprise-wide communications, culture change
management, employee awareness and training. She has played a key role in
the transformation of CUNA Mutual’s Records and Information Management
Program.

Since joining ARMA in 2009, Barb has been active member, serving as the VP
of Programs and Education for three years and is the current President-Elect.
She is also a member of AIIM, earning her CIP designation in 2013.
