Training of staff to perform capture

Training of staff to perform QC to meet standards

Space dedicated to the effort

Depreciation of purchased equipment vs lease costs

Labor (if staff is doing this, other things aren't getting done)

Labor (if hiring new staff, training, overhead, etc)

Contracting out the work

Typically, faster turnaround

Risks associated with transfer and others storing your source materials

Loss of access to materials while in process/transit

Is there any PII/PHI/PFI involved

Are employees bonded

Will your source materials be protected from fire, loss, damage, improper
exposure while being processed

Will they have to be trained to perform indexing

What level of QC will be performed

Are they liable to re-do unacceptable work (at their cost)

Cost of pre-processing and post-processing to return originals

How will data be transferred/transmitted to you

Will your images and data be stored independent of others or commingled
