Hello,
This is a friendly reminder that the deadline for the Access Leadership Scholarships and the La ARMA Nostra Scholarships is fast approaching. Applications are due by Sunday, September 6th at midnight (CST).

*Access Leadership Scholarships*
If you know of someone in the RIM industry that is a member of your staff or management team that is working towards a college degree, please encourage them to apply for the Access Leadership Scholarships! The criteria for the scholarships are quite simple and could provide the successful applicant with either a $6,000 or $2,000 towards their college education. Do you know anyone that meets the following:

1. Evidence that you are currently employed as a RIM professional and have been employed for at least one year.
2. Evidence that the college or university program you are enrolled in is accredited.
3. For courses completed, submit a transcript indicating you received a minimum grade of "C." If enrolling, provide a transcript at the end of each course showing a grade of "C" or above.
4. Descriptions of the courses for which you are applying for a scholarship. Courses must be RIM-related or demonstrably relevant to a RIM career (e.g., budget and finance, human resources, contracts, leadership, IT, etc.)
5. A one-page discussion about how a college degree will help your professional advancement.
6. Two letters of reference: one from an individual able to comment on your personal qualities and a second from someone you work with (colleague, manager, etc.).

Access Leadership Scholarships provide financial support for current and future RIM practitioners striving for positions of greater responsibility that require a college degree. Funding is provided through a grant from the ACCESS Corporation.

*La ARMA Nostra Scholarship*
The ARMA International Educational Foundation (AIEF) is excited to announce the La ARMA Nostra scholarship. These awards are $500 each, one-time reimbursements for individuals who have successfully completed or are actively pursuing of their Certified Records Manager (CRM) certification, Information Governance Professional (IGP) certification, or other RIM-related certification. Three awards will be presented in Jeffrey Baldwin, CRM's name, and three will be presented in Komal Gulich, CRM's name; both passed away from cancer in 2014 and were long-time champions of the RIM profession and the CRM certification.

This award is available to individuals in all geographic locations; however, weight will be given to applicants from ARMA's Great Lakes Region.

Applications will be accepted for successful completion of any part (e.g., CRM Part I has been passed successfully) so long as applicant is still actively pursuing the designation (candidate in good standing) and completion of part or all of the certification occurred since January 1, 2014.

Once again, both applications are due by September 6 at midnight (CST). Applications and details for both of these opportunities (and others) may be found on the ARMA International Education Foundation's website at: http://www.armaedfoundation.org/<http://www.armaedfoundation.org/grants_scholarships.html>
