Aloha RM Listserv Friends!

Well...I'm back and albeit, with some broken pieces, but...ALIVE!

Much Thanks to Peter K (List-dad) for sharing with the Listserv my bicycling accident after I returned from the ARMA Conference...I had a wonderful ARMA conference & it was good to see some of you at the Listserv gathering at Harrington's. I'm still recovering from my cracked rib and bleeding spleen, but it will heal over time...

My recovery was boosted by many of the listserv who emailed me and sent me get well cards...The thoughts and prayers were very helpful during my two weeks in the hospital and at home...

The ADA Tour de Cure bike ride is this coming Sunday, November 1st, and as fortune would have it, my doctors have told me I can't ride...Thus I will have to ride "virtually" and cheer on my fellow bicyclists from the sidelines. As many of you know, I'm very "passionate" about Records & Information Management, ARMA, this Listserv, and my "fight" against diabetes. Nothing reminded me more of being diabetic than being in a hospital room and constantly getting "poked" as they checked my A1C count.

So, my fight continues this weekend...I'll be at the Tour de Cure event to assist at the start/finish of the ride. You all can help me this year, by riding "virtual" with me and donating "any amount" ($6 for the 600,000 diabetics in Hawaii makes a difference). If you feel inclined, you can donate to my ride by going to www.diabetes.org/tourdecurehawaii.

I'm glad to be alive and THANK YOU for those who have expressed their concern for my health and well-being...I've got a long road till I can ride a bike again, but I definitely will do so in 2016. Hopefully, some of you will join me at the next Tour de Cure in Hawaii in 2016.

Have an excellent ALOHA FRIDAY & weekend...

Take care and God Bless!

Brian
