How many legal groupings does your RRS use? Is there some sort of guide
(besides Skupsky) that lists common groupings?
>>

Hi Nolene,

We had a legal research consultant do a similar legal grouping of citation
research. Ours was not by general topic, but rather by major bank function
and corporate function, which works for a functional RRS. I think such an
approach would have served you better than legal groupings by general
topic. However, if they did map their groups to your records series, then
that should provide you sufficient information to validate their choices.
I went through mine and drafted a few corrections, then reviewed with the
consultant. We discussed rationales and reasonings back and forth until we
had a document we both agreed on. It was a worthwhile exercise.
