If you’ve heard of Tim Clemans, you probably know him as a transparency
watchdog, the guy who pointed out so many problems with the Seattle Police
Department’s record-keeping and disclosure system that SPD eventually hired
him to help them bring them out of the 20th century, only to cut him loose
when his efforts to streamline their antiquated systems pissed off some
higher-ups at the hidebound and historically secretive department.

"The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of
laissez-faire, unbridled competition.

umbrella of federal regulations."
Senator Ted Kennedy, in defending trucking deregulation in 1978.
